On April 12 and 13 600-odd boys from Westville Boys’ High were at Jeppe for our annual winter activities exchange.
They particated in rugby, hockey games, cross country, tennis, squash, mountain biking, chess and golf. The Westville drumline musicians joined our marimba band for a performance, and Westville’s first aid squad were on duty alongside ours over the weekend. Their photographic society was also here to capture the activities.
The Jeppe community rallied to provide accommodation on Friday night for our visitors and, in fact, we were oversubscribed with families who offered to host.
On May 10 and 11 we do it all in reverse – a similar number of Jeppe boys and teachers will be travelling to Durban to participate against Northwood in a range of activities.
