The 1st cricket team were beaten by Grey High School in a T20 game on the final day of the Grey College Festival on Sunday.
Aiden Reyneke struck a fine 58 off just 33 balls, including one four and five sixes. He didn’t get enough support from the other batsmen, however, and Jeppe got to 149 in their 20 overs.
Grey started off brightly in their reply, but the Jeppe bowlers – and some good fielding – reeled them in, and in the end they needed 18 overs to reach the target.
It was a good tour, with wins over St Andrew’s and Selborne, and solid preparation for the season ahead, which begins against St John’s this Saturday.
