A young Jeppe “stayers” cricket team has had a good opening two days at the annual Mozzie Week in Nelspruit. They had the better of a drawn game with Uplands College on day one, and beat Eldoraigne in a 50-overs game on day two.
Ryan Young got a century against Uplands (106 off 118 balls), while Kai Van Aardt and Mohammed Zaid both made 50s. Munib Ayob has been the pick of the bowlers so far. He took 3/18 off 10 overs against Eldoraigne.
The side meets the hosts, Hoërskool Nelspruit, on Saturday.
