The Jeppe Boys Wildlife Club took a trip to the Golden Gate Highlands National Park in the holidays. The trip consisted of many activities where they learnt about the geology of the park, as well as the dinosaur fossils that were found in the area.
The boys found the Kgodumodumo Dinosaur Interpretation Centre to be the highlight of their trip, along with the hiking and abseiling they did. While it was extremely cold, the boys did not shy away from the elements and took on the Brandwag Buttress Hike.
A very big thank you to all involved. The staff at The Wilgehof Environmental Education Centre were fantastic, and another thank you to Ms Moyo, Ms Hempel and Mr Clark, who helped cook for the boys and accompanied them on the adventures, encouraging them in all that they participated in.
Mrs Clark, the MIC of the Wildlife Club said, “I am proud of the boys who faced their fears of heights and tried something new. I loved every moment of this trip with such a lovely group of boys and staff!”
