Logan gets national attention in baseball

Logan Gardner recently returned from a very successful baseball national tournament. He represented Gauteng U15 and his team ended up in second place. Personally, he received national recognition – being included in the national U15 Elite Training Squad ahead of the selection of the team that will take part in African Qualifiers in November this year.
Logan has been playing baseball since he was eight years old. “I tried cricket, but when I never made the team I took up baseball,” he said. “It’s a club game so I have made friends there and we have all been playing together for a long time. I love the game and will definitely carry on playing it.”
But baseball isn’t the only thing he does. “I enjoy playing sport at school and have made a lot of good friends at Jeppe too,” he said. He is in the U15A water polo team and, as a scrum half, he turns out for the U15A and B rugby teams.
It’s always great to come across boys who are sporting all-rounders and who try their hand at many things. We are proud of Logan and will be watching his progress keenly.
