Mr Chaid White’s last time in charge
The 1st Football team ended up 12th overall, out of 32 schools at the Kloof High School tournament in Durban at the weekend.
They were beaten in a penalty shootout by DHS in the 3rd place playoff game in the Plate Competition, after losing out on a spot in the quarterfinals of the main draw.
They lost 4-2 to JG Zuma in the round of 16 and then beat Empangeni on penalties in the 1st round of the Plate and lost 1-0 to the Tuks Sport School (the eventual winners of the Plate). The final score was 2-2 against DHS in the 3rd place playoff, but Jeppe lost the shootout 3-1.
Caeleb Pinto made the team of the tournament, and Jeppe was generally commended for their good behaviour throughout. Well done to the boys and their coaches.
It was Mr Chaid White’s last act as coach of the team before he moves to the UK. Thank you for all you have done for Jeppe football sir.
