Jaydon Brooker scored a century for the 1st cricket team as it rounded off its preparations for the St David’s Fasken Festival which starts on Thursday.
He hit 111 off just 100 balls against the touring Northern Cape High school team on Saturday. Jeppe made 351/9 in their 50 overs, Brooker was assisted by Kaleb Burger who got 51. The visitors were bowled out for 124, with the spinners – Tshepo Stafa (3/30) and Sipho Potsane (2/30) doing the damage.
The teams played a T20 game on Sunday. Jeppe made 163, with Keegan Caixeiro top-scoring with 38, and then restricted Northern Cape to 115.
